Yoga & Meditation Practice


Meditation Practice - Supports encoring in the present moment, helps to expand your state of consciousness and enter the deepest experience of oneness.

Yoga Practice - Daily yoga sessions will activate the subtle channels in the body (meridians), opening gently the points of tightness. You will slowly gain more flexibility and a deeper connection with your body.

Restorative Yoga – is a practice that is focusing on the alignment of the 5 elements and activates the meridians or pathways of Chi (energy).

Yoga Nidra – A classical yogic guided meditation technique that harnesses the biology of sleep for a spiritual purpose.

Chakra Meditation - This meditation will activate your energetic system and balance the flow of energy in your body.

Ayurveda Workshop  


Ms Parvathi, our Ayurveda expert will conduct a Masterclass on Ayurveda/Shidda medicine to help you understand the principles & application of Ayurveda in your daily life.


She will take you on an Edible Weed Foraging walk in the National Centre of Excellence for Medicinal Plant Conservation at Pitchandikulam Forest to identify forest plants, teach you about their health benefits and the easy ways we can use them in everyday life.

Everything that Anandan teaches whether it is about yoga practice, spirituality, or energy healing is coming from the depth of his heart and years of dedicated self-work and personal practice.

He praises Yoga as a powerful method of self-realization and applies traditional Sivananda style hatha principles in his classes following the core knowledge about asana and pranayama. Guided Meditations that Anandan is teaching are very intuitive and based on ancient methods: he creates unique meditation practices that offer energy healing and support the student on his path towards spiritual awakening. Tantric Philosophy is a core aspect of his powerful spiritual teachings, but he welcomes wisdom from all different sources.

Anandan passion is to bring people closer to the realization of their divinity and internal abundance - in an all inclusive embodied form that he, so brightly, emanates.

Laura's path to the role of a plant-based Chef started when she joined Samudra Retreats with a mission to transform and awaken others towards a more conscious approach to life. For the last 3 years, she has been teaching people how food affects the connection of the Body-Mind-Spirit.

She is Raw & Plant-Based Food Chef studied from different teachers around the globe. Laura is always expanding her nutrition awareness and drawing inspiration from various approaches: Biochemistry, Ayurveda, Macrobiotics (Traditional Chinese Medicine), Raw & Healing Food.

Having a strong appetite for a change, Laura's cooking is full of vibrant plant-based meals with unique fusion tastes.

“My ultimate goal is to live life as a more awakened, vibrant, alive human being. I know on my own experience how food can change and transform not only the body, but life itself. As a Chef, I want to deliver this glowing sensation to guests and watch them shining after one week of gourmet plant-based food experience here at Our Retreat.”

She is dedicated to women’s causes, economic empowerment and enhancing daily life, e.g. through growing their own food and healing with herbs. Her first teachers in the knowledge of medicinal herbs were her parents, both traditional vaidyas. Today, she successfully incubates several rural managed enterprises that are based on herbs and herbal products.

She is an expert in the identification and application of medicinal herbs according to the Siddha system of traditional medicine, and her family has been in involved in traditional herbal healing for at least five generations, and possibly many more. She has an MA in Sociology and an MA in Human Rights.
